La Posada, La Paz, Mexico Real Estate Guide 2026: Beachfront Condos & Prices
La Posada is a very nice part of town just north of Centro, on the water, and the Malecón bike lane runs directly to it. This guide covers what has actually sold there, drawn from my MLS BCS search of the neighborhood in Flexmls.
What La Posada is like
La Posada sits on La Posada beach, a good dog-walking beach and a lovely place to watch the sunset. It is close to all the amenities, including two of the big grocery stores in town, Chedraui Selecto and Soriana, as well as local mom-and-pop shops and great food.
It is not one continuous neighborhood. It is built up mostly around a handful of gated residential developments, and Almar Residencial is the name that comes up most: a beachfront condo community with pool and beach club access. It is a smaller, more selective market than El Centenario, and what is available shifts as the developments sell through.

In the 12 months to October 17, 2026, 7 homes and condos sold in La Posada for a combined volume of about $3.3 million (MLS BCS, Flexmls). The median sold price was $380,000 and the average was $470,395, with sales from $349,000 to $750,000. The median property took 131 days to sell and closed at 100% of its list price (98.7% on average). About 9 homes and condos were listed for sale in La Posada at the same time.

What to check before you buy in La Posada
For a condo: ask what the fees cover and who manages the community, what is included with pool and beach club access, and whether anything is owed on the unit. Ask for the community rules in writing and read them before you commit.
For a waterfront lot: a lot directly on the shoreline is a different purchase from a condo. Before anything else, confirm exactly what is being sold, how the boundaries are defined and what the rules are for building. Your notario should review the title.
