I did not come to La Paz to sell real estate. I came because the Sea of Cortez is the most extraordinary body of water I have ever been on, and because the life available here — on the water, in the sun, in a real Mexican city that has not yet been swallowed by resort development — is unlike anything I had found anywhere else.

My Background

I began my real estate career in Canada, where I was fully licensed and worked for 12 years before making the move to Baja California Sur. When I arrived in La Paz, I obtained my Mexican Licencia Inmobiliaria — the state-issued real estate license that relatively few foreign agents in BCS actually hold. Many people calling themselves real estate agents in Mexico are operating without any license at all. That matters when you are making a $500,000 or $1,000,000 decision in a foreign legal system.

Holding my Mexican licenses means I operate to the professional standards in BCS. It means I understand fiduciary duty, disclosure obligations, and what it means to actually represent a client — not just facilitate a transaction.

I Live This Market

I have been a full-time La Paz resident for four years. I walk the Malecón. I know the neighbourhoods that are changing and the ones that are not. I know which buildings have solid construction and which ones cut corners. I know the lawyers, the notarios, the contractors, and the people you need to know to buy and own property here without problems.

I also know the market beyond La Paz. I wing foil in La Ventana regularly throughout the season and have deep ties to that community. I know Todos Santos, the East Cape, the Cabo corridor. When a client needs to see property anywhere in BCS, I do not hand them off to someone else.
