La Paz Centro is the middle of the city, and that is its main benefit: almost everything is close by. This guide covers what has actually sold there, drawn from my MLS BCS search of the neighborhood in Flexmls.
What Centro is like
The Malecón is directly in front, with cafés, restaurants, bars, shops, sculptures and a bike lane along the bay walk, which runs about 5.6 km (3.5 miles). There are beaches to either side of Centro, plenty of businesses all around, and the large shopping malls are just behind.
Downtown also has the Cathedral on Revolución, the Regional Museum of Anthropology and History, the Museum of the Whale and Sciences of the Sea, and the La Paz Cultural Center, which hosts music and theater. It is walkable to everything, with restaurants, cafés, markets and plazas within a few minutes on foot, and there is a genuine mix of locals and expats who have chosen to be close to the action.
